The medical objective of the Centre for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the ATOS Clinic is the specialised treatment of shoulder and elbow injuries and diseases. By concentrating on the shoulder and elbow region, we meet the requirements of advanced joint surgery which is based on the constant analysis and control of our clinical data. Documented diagnostic processes and uniform indication lists guarantee a high degree of surgical success. State-of-the-art surgical techniques and comprehensive surgical experience allow for short durations of inpatient treatments. Closely coordinated physiotherapy and specific follow-up therapy plans maintain the positive surgical outcome.

Current ranking of the FOCUS List of Physicians of 14/06/2010*: The Practice for Shoulder Surgery at the ATOS Clinic Heidelberg is the only medical practice in Germany where all physicians have been recommended by the FOCUS list. Selected specialists for shoulder surgery are Prof. Habermeyer, Prof. Loew, and Dr. Lichtenberg.
Apart from the Practice for Shoulder Surgery, four further specialists of the ATOS Clinic have been recommended by the FOCUS list – thus the ATOS Clinics count among the most highly recommended German clinics.
