Prof. Dr. med. Rainer Siebold

For more than 20 years, the knee joint has been the centre of my medical interests. Back in 1991, then as a medical student, I assisted with many knee surgeries and discovered my passion for the knee joint. Due to my exclusive focus on my speciality – the KNEE – I can offer the highest degree of professional knowledge and specialist treatment to my patients today. In my actions, I always aim at reconstructing the knee joint to its perfection.

For this reason, I put my focus on transplantation of chondrocytes, meniscus sutures, and cruciate ligament replacement in recreational and professional athletes. I have also specialised in the treatment of knee joints in children. In case of long-term consequences of injuries and arthrosis, I aim at implanting a partial prosthesis – as far as possible – in a minimally invasive way in order to maintain the function of healthy areas in the knee joint.

With more than 8,000 knee surgeries I have performed personally, I can draw on a wealth of experience, which I constantly enhance by means of scientific work and international exchange of information. Our Centre for Hip, Knee, and Foot Surgery at the ATOS Clinic Heidelberg, which was founded by Prof. Pässler, has offered excellent treatments on a “first-class level” for almost two decades.

My personal ambition is to offer you this first-class quality as well.

Prof. Dr. med. Rainer Siebold has been recommended by colleagues and patients as a proven knee specialist on several FOCUS LISTS OF MEDICAL SPECIALISTS.
