Heidelberg is one of the most beautiful cities of Germany – and the ATOS Clinic is located right in the heart of the city. One of Europe’s largest shopping promenades starts right in front of our main door. Explore the small side streets and the sights, enjoy the neat cafés and discover the fancy shops and galleries. The Heidelberg castle lies high above the historic city centre and attracts three million tourists a year: The cable railway, one of Germany’s oldest, takes the visitors up to the Königsstuhl where they can enjoy the terrific view of Heidelberg, the Neckar valley and the Rhine valley. If you are looking for peace and quiet while doing some recreational activity, you can cross the Alte Brücke and walk along the world famous Philosophenweg – the philosophers’ walk – which has inspired many poets and thinker with its lush vegetation and the view of the castle. After dark, there are numerous ways to enjoy the Heidelberg night life: many types of live music, theatre, events happen throughout the year and you also have a pick of a long list of restaurants and pubs.
